What is BOOTMGR (Windows Boot Manager)?

Windows Boot Manager or BOOTMGR whatever you call is a windows boot manger which is normally located in your computer’s operating system boot volume (Mainly C:\ drive). The main work of this Bootmgr is to control boot volume which helps to start winload.exe when a computers starts to load a preinstalled windows.
Bootmgr is only located in Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 and Window Vista, you can’t find this boot manger in the previous version of windows like Windows XP. Windows Xp have its own boot manger which called NTLDR.

When our computer system starts to show BOOTMGR Is Missing?

Sometimes “BOOTMGR is missing” error occurs we start our computer and our pc’s bios can’t find the boot file on hard disk boot volume and displays this error on the black background screen. There are so many reasons why we get this error on our computer’s screen and those are –

Solution 1. Fixing operating system Files.

Note: This Solution No.1 is only for Windows Vista, 7, 8 & 10. if you having this problem with Windows XP then you should skip this step and move to Solution No.2 below.
Most of the times our windows files got corrupted and occurring this error and in this solution we are going to fix our windows by a Windows Installation Disk or a bootable windows setup USB. I only suggest you to use windows disk according to your computer’s windows version. So, if you have windows 7 installed in your computer then use a windows 7 installation disk or if your computer having a window 10 on it then use a windows 10 disk.

Solution 2 – Fixing Hard disk boot volume corruption

Solution 3 – Finding & Fixing Hard disk Problem

There is a change you having this BOOTMGR Is Missing problem because of damaged and improperly connected hard disk drives. The best way to find does your hard disk is working properly or not is to check hdd connection status in bios to insure that your HDD is connected properly to your computer.
